INNOVATION: Single Digits provides high speed internet access management and support solutions, guest management software and technical support services. It offers a complete guest high speed internet access solution, led by the pioneering homegrown Broadband Authentication Platform software, and also includes components of IP network design, engineering, professional services, ongoing maintenance, monitoring, multilingual support, revenue reporting and authentication tracking. Single Digits primarily services the hospitality industry, as well as property management, health care, government, education, travel and more. Single Digits’ primary focus is providing the best quality service while extending equipment service life, lowering total cost of ownership and enhancing guest satisfaction without major investments.
LEADERSHIP: Single Digits was conceived and founded in 2003 by President Steve Singlar and CEO Bob Goldstein upon recognizing an opportunity for innovation in the then emerging market for public internet access. As a team, Singlar and Goldstein created a homegrown software solution, the Broadband Authentication Platform (BAP), that enabled guest internet access while offering real-time reporting and analytics to property managers and owners. Singlar brings more than a decade of experience in many aspects of technology while leveraging a complementary blend of hardware and software expertise. Goldstein adds more than 15 years of industry leadership and experience, excelling in technical sales and marketing expertise.
WORKFORCE: Based in Bedford, Single Digits is comprised of more than 250 employees and growing. The Bedford headquarters staffs the majority of employees, including its state-of-the art Network Operations Center and customer support team. It also has U.S. offices in Texas and Colorado, and uses remote employees in California, Utah, Arizona, Florida, New York and Massachusetts. Internationally, it has offices in Canada, as well as a strong presence in Mexico with locations in Cancun and Tijuana.
HISTORY: From humble beginnings as a startup, based out of Singlar’s garage in Exeter, Single Digits has grown to become an industry leader in high speed internet access, Wi-Fi management and support solutions. From January 2013 through November 2013 the company grew from 83 to 130 employees. This jump prompted a move from 10,000 square feet of office space in Manchester to almost double the space in its current Bedford home. Today, Single Digits again finds itself at capacity and looking forward to what the future holds.
COMMUNITY: Single Digits prides itself on its commitment to supporting community programs that focus on empowering people, nurturing and mentoring children and improving education. One of Single Digits’ most well-known efforts across the community is a partnership with the New Hampshire Audubon where it donates and provides live streaming video of a pair of nesting Peregrine Falcon’s in Manchester. Single Digits technicians have installed three high-definition cameras that provide a clear, uninterrupted look at the birds. Single Digits also supports End 68 Hours of Hunger with food donations, and worked with Building on Hope to coordinate building networks in new facilities for Girls Inc., the Manchester Police Athletic League, and Opportunity Networks.
TECHNOLOGY: Single Digits not only designs, installs and supports guest Wi-Fi networks, but develops and maintains its own cloud hosted software, the Broadband Authentication Platform. This software is designed to help venue owners and other network stakeholders to scale their network environments for rapidly growing usage trends and optimize the guest experience through unique data collection and management techniques.
SPOTLIGHT: Single Digits has been honored with numerous awards, including the New Hampshire High Tech Council Product of the Year in 2013, Stay Work Play New Hampshire’s Coolest Company for Young Professionals in 2015, New Hampshire High Tech Council’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 and the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award finalist for Marketplace Ethics in 2017.
