Car crashes into front entrance of Concord DMV

Not a drive-thru

Authorities briefly evacuated part of the Division of Motor Vehicles building in Concord on Wednesday, after a driver, identified as Judith Dufield of Pittsfield, drove into the entrance. Officials quickly determined the building was safe, and it was open for business, according to a statement issued by the DMV shortly after noontime. However, according to state police, there was extensive damage to the front facade and awning. New Hampshire State Police are investigating the crash; impairment does not appear to be a factor.
