The film reminds us and reeducates us about the conflict between anti-war protesters and supporters (whom President Nixon designated as the “Silent Majority”). And most resonant of our times today, Burns illuminates the struggle of fearless journalists who uncovered the truth of that war in the face of what we now would call “fake news” generated by their own U.S. government.
