Against all odds, 14-year-old Anna Grant, right, had just out-punted, out-passed and out-kicked the top four (of 32) national finalists to win this year's NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick title for her age division.

This won't be the last time the girl has a negative response to her feelings. There aren't many sporting events where spectators of either side are catered to. Adults need not shove their allegiances down their kid's throats, including naming newborns after players.
- kathy ott mchugh, dover

Anna, as noted here the look on your face was priceless. You have real class young lady. I was proud to see your New Hampshire attitude come through. I would like to have you and your family come to the state house as my guest...
Sen. Letourneau
- Bob Letourneau, Derry

I think its a shame that people would put booing a jersey before clapping for a 15 year old young lady. Anna there some people here in Indiana that care about someones feeling. Go Pats.
- J L, INDIANAPOLIS IN

Congratulations Anna,

I am always happy to see a person from
New Hampshire (I am from Candia)
doing something terrific! I guess they were just envious! Keep up the great work!
- C. Cresta, West Haven, CT

Anna, you've captured our hearts in British Columbia and we'll be looking forward to seeing you, cheering for you and watching the game this Sunday.
- Al, Merritt, BC. Canada

Can't wait to see you this Sunday at the game! You make all of us New Englanders everywhere wicked proud!
- Dustin, Goffstown - Now Los Angeles, CA

The boo's were not for Anna....surely the girls with the San Diego jersey would have been booed. After the presentation, CBS rolled tape of Phillip Rivers walking off the field, taunting the Colts' fans.....it just so happened that Anna was being announced at that time.
- Keith, Brooksville, FL

congrats!! Anna You were great!! Beleive me!! I was in a situation like that myself... Wearing a Boston Red sox Shirt To Yankee Stadium!! Boy did I ever hear it... I think you Handled yourself way Better than I did, and Im an Adult.. Great Job Again Anna
- Lisa, Belmont MA

I did see the presentation live during the game and was discusted that the Indi crowd would boo Anna. Well, the bunch of idiots got just what they deserved huh? A punt out of the playoffs. See you in New England!
- Robert Pantanella, Palm Springs, Ca.

How blessed we were to have you represent us and to proudly have on you Patriots Jersey! Great job Anna!
- Jack, walpole

Congratulations Anna!!! We are all so proud of you.
- Don, Brentwood

Congrats to Anna ! I was watching the game on Sunday when Colts fans booed her. I was so upset that I sent a letter to the editor of the IndyStar newspaper. I just wish I had waited to send it after the Colts lost.
- Sally Sokul, Franklin,NH

Anna, you go girl!! You showed a poise not even found in most adults. Obviously not found in many at that stadium. Good for you to just keep on smiling. You earned a great award. Thanks for representing New England and the Patriots. I hope Bob Kraft catches wind of this and sets you up with some tickets!! You deserve it!!
- Brian, Barnstable. Ma

Anna,

Congratulations. I watched the event and was proud to see someone from my home state in the finals. You showd a lot of class!
- Jim Yurick, Houston, Texas

E J from Manchester - The last time Tom Brady and the Patriots walked of the field in the RCA dome (11/4/07), they were 24-20 winners over the Colts.
- Brian, Derry

way to go anna you did a great job it shows a lot of class when colt fans did not,
- Joe gifford, merrimack

Anna,
Way to go girl! I was born and raised in Indiana and Colts fans are rude and stupid for booing you. That is the mentality of Hoosiers. I was fortunate to have lived in Manchester for 15 years and enbraced the NE lifestyle which is a much better place to be. Rooting for those PERFECT Pats. Go ALL the Way Pats.. And Congrats to you Anna. You are a much better person that all those hicks in the Colts Dome.
- Nancy, Seymour, IN

Against all odds, 14-year-old Anna Grant has just made History. She became the last person wearing a Patriot jersey to walk off the RCA Dome field a winner. Not even Tom Brady can make that claim!!!! Congratulations to Anna and her Proud Family. Who knows maybe Bob Kraft will invite you and your family to sunday's game.??????? BOB!!! YOU OUT THERE BOB?????
- E J, Manchester

A 14 year old winner, that is more classy than a stadium full of adults. Well done Anna. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Bob, Alexandria, VA

Great job Anna. I hope my daughter has your grace when she is your age. Winners sometimes have to hear from folks who cant do the same. Your behavior points to the need to accept being a winner has some strings attached. Just remember, at the last football game in the historic RCA dome, you went out with a win. While the likes of Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison went out with a lost -very cool.
- brian, weare

Vey nice job Anna!! You're a great representitive for New Hampshire and The Patriots
- Mark, Texas

If the competition was held in Foxboro, do you think the Indiana representative would have been welcomed with open arms? I think NOT. Stop being naive that Patriots fans would not act the same way. Put a few beers in fans and the class (if any to begin with) goes away.
- Sean, Cambridge, MA

Congratulations to Anna both for her football accomplishment and for poise and maturity far beyond her years. She is a classy credit to herself, her family, her town, state, and all of Patriot's Nation. Shame on Colts fans for booing an innocent child's accomplishment.
- Joe Kenick III, Stratham, NH

Anna, You have New Hampshire Proud. THe Patriots should have you visit this Sunday and show you how all their fans, including me, think you are special and should be honored not only for what you accomplished, but for standing and taking that abuse!
- Kevin, Bedford NH

People need to relax about this. Yeah, not the classiest showing, but not unexpected, and not unique. Pats fans are not above this; if they trotted the PPK winners out onto the field at Gillette, and one of them was from Indy, wearing a Colts jersey (or NY, wearing a Jets jersey), do you think the New England fans wouldn't boo? I'm pretty sure some would - not all, but then, I don't think it was all of the Colts fans, either.

Every large fanbase has these kinds of fans. We do, the Colts do, the Giants do, the Packers do, the Red Sox do, the Yankees do. Heck, the next time UNH and Maine play a hockey game at the Verizon, go to the game, and I'm sure at some point a young kid wearing a Maine jersey will be shown on the video screen, and the UNH fans will boo, and vice versa.

It happpens. They weren't booing her, they were booing the jersey. I will commend her and her parents for their attitude concerning it all. They handled it exactly right.

And a big congratulations to Anna for winning the PPK competition!
- Matt P, Manchester

As a NH native I am always proud when "one of our own" goes on to greater things.
Anna, we are extremely proud of you.
As a grandfather of Connor Young (New Jersey) who in 2006 qualified to PP&K at Giants Stadium and ending up ranking 6th in the nation I have an idea of what Anna has accomplished and to do it on national TV. What a thrill for her and the Grant family!

I thought it was funny, the night before the Colts game, one of the news stations was at a bar in Indianapolis talking to some Colts fans and they asked some lady why the Colts were going to win and she said "because they have more class than the Patriots". I can see their fans really displayed their "class" Sunday afternoon. I'm so glad they lost - that's the sweetest revenge of all. Great job Anna! Glad to see the Granite State represented well in Indy! GO PATS!
- Karen, Peterborough

Come on, people. It was fantastic that she got booed - it was all in good fun, and it just shows how dominant the Patriots are these days. As long as Grant didn't take it personally, no big deal. And we all know a kid in a Yankees jersey in Fenway would get a lot worse.
- Jon, Gilmanton

Just goes to show that Adults can be worse then Children and need to grow up! Congratulations to Anna! I am sure there are some NH colts fans that are ashamed of the way others acted!
- Rhonda, Jaffrey

They were booing the jersey not her. If the roles were reversed and someone was wearing a Colts jersey in Foxborough, the reaction likely would be the same.

Congrats to Anna for a great showing and for having the right attitude about everything. She has a real bright future.
- Levon, Pawling, NY

Congrats Anna! She won our local competition to move on to states. She is a perfect example of what we would want any student athlete to be! She will be back and do it again next year!

Congratulations to Anna. You make me proud to live in NH. Now wouldn't it be nice if the Kraft family and Patriots organization donated some tickets to this young lady and her family for this weeks game?
- Erika, Hudson

You can take the Patriot Fan out of New England, but you can't take the New England ouf the Patriot Fan.

Anna you rock! You made us transplant fans proud down here in PA.
- Charlie, PA

First off, CONGRATULATIONS, Anna. Be proud of two things: first, winning, and second, sticking by your team!.

Come on Mr. Linville, this is just a sport. Booing occurs all the time. The Canadians boo the US National Anthem, and the US does the same when a hockey game is played. Booing the girl had nothing to do with her accomplishment. It had everything to do with fans being fans. Sports are fantastic outlets for a lot of mundane daily frustrations. I guarantee that should New England need assistance from someone in Indiana, be it for a natural catastrophe or anyt other reason, they would be here in a second.
Stop being so sensitive, people. This is all in good fun. Indy fans are no more losers than when NE Fans do the SAME thing in our arenas. Put things in perspective, folks.
- Eric Tallberg, Manchester, NH

Congratulations Anna, you are a Champion just like out Pats. They were rude to you but we have the last laugh as out Pats are playing and they are home licking their wounds.
- Paul, Manchester

Colts fans should be embarrassed by this. Here's a kid who just made a great accomplishment, and the Indy crowd has to boo her because of the shirt she's wearing? She took it well, but that just wasn't right. I'd like to see Bob Kraft invite Anna to this weeks game, bring her on the field at some point, and let her feel the thrill of 75,000 fans cheering for her!
- Manny, Belmont

If I were Peyton, I would have been embarassed by my fans showing just how much class they really have. You go girl, you held your head up and made all of us Patriots fans soooo proud.
- marilyn, Dunedin, Florida

Very classy, Indianapolis! Way to take out your hatred of the Patriots on a 14 year old girl! Congratulations to Anna. Apparently she and her family were among the few decent and sane people at the RCA dome on Sunday.
- Joe Ransmeier, Littleton

I was really surprised to hear Stratham, NH announced as home town of one of the contestants during the game. Made me proud for our state. But then the chorus of boos made me angry. Just shows what an uncivil world we live in, when fans take out their ire on a child.
Anna, congratulations and this lesson in life, how to overcome and triumph, will be a valuable one. You represented our fair state with class and dignity.
- John Linville, Wolfeboro

Congratulations, Anna! I saw you on TV and the look on your face when the crowd booed was - as Peyton Manning's credit card commercials might suggest - priceless. You made all of us Patriots fans proud with your poise. I hope those Colts fans learn a bit of class from watching you!
- Kathy, Manchester, NH

I think if you look back at the broadcast you will see that Phil Rivers was leaving the field nearby to have his knee tended to and that the "boos" were intended for him, not the young lady from Stratham. Rivers was "taiunting" the fans the entire second half. I would hope that no one could be that rude to a young person who has achieved something positive. Congratulations Anna!
- JIm, Hooksett

Good for you Anna! You showed real class, unlike the fans that don't know the meaning of the word!!!!
- Lynne Grandmaison, Bedford

Congratulations to Anna! And don't worry about those Colt fans that boooed, just like their team, they are losers!
- John, Strafford
