Conservation Voters support Lynch

CONCORD – Gov. John Lynch won the endorsement of the Granite State Conservation Voters yesterday. The group has sided with Lynch in each of his three runs for governor.
Chairman Rick Russman praised Lynch for his work on reducing greenhouse gases, encouraging the use of renewable energy sources and working to protect lakes, ponds, rivers and open land.
"New Hampshire needs leaders in Concord who understand that our economy and our quality of life are directly linked to the health of our environment," Russman said. "Through words and action John Lynch has proven himself to be a friend of the New Hampshire environment and a protector of our quality of life."
Lynch said he values the groups support, and said he worked across party lines over the past four years to pass laws on renewable energy and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
"As governor it has been my highest priority to make sure we are doing everything we can as a state to look out for the people of New Hampshire, not just right now but for generations to come."
He said making the right moves on the environment will pay off in terms of better health, better quality of life and a better economic climate. He cited moves that include a ban on the burning of construction and demolition debris, investments in the state park system and improved shoreland protection rules.

Whoa,Jim,easy now.
This was a news article, not an editorial
there is a difference.
Are you saying TUL should not report on what the "enemy" camp is doing?
Jim,I too have certain issues with TUL,but this shouldn't be one of them. After all, they do allow readers to post responses, and publish more letters to the editor than any other paper that I know of.
Perhaps TUL could give a little more detail as to what will disqualify a post.
For instance bad taste.Hell I've seen funeral articles(i.e. Officers Powers)where a poster berates the "system" over which occupations get honored, and which do not.
If that's not in poor taste, what is?
And let's not even get into poorly written.
IMO,a bit more specificity regarding TUL's policies would be welcomed, and may allieviate some bad feelings.

I am done with buying the Union Leader. Why don’t you just come out and back him for Governor. I have had enough. Under Lynch the DES has grown and grown and it is hidden by increasing permitting fee to the Electric Companies and other utilities. You know they would never pass it on. Although they pretend to be adversaries, these title 5 sources pass along costs to us and the PUC never even knows about it, but that not a TAX burden. Please note the sarcasm.
Has your paper been purchased by MSNBC?
