Dover: Myers retains mayoral seat

DOVER – Mayor Scott Myers (2,510) won reelection by a healthy margin over challenger Parks Christenbury (1,915).
The only incumbent councilor to lose reelection was ward six’s Richard Callaghan (321), who was defeated by challenger Gina Cruikshank (502).
At-large City Councilor Karen Weston (2,614) was reelected, while current Ward 4 Councilor Dean Trefethen (1,927) picked up the other at-large seat. They beat at-large contenders Dennis Ciotti (1,891), a former councilor himself, and John Scruton (1,188).
Other results:
- Ward 1: Councilor Robert Carrier (359) won in an uncontested race.
- Ward 2: William Garrison (369) beat William Colbath (209).
- Ward 3: Jan Nedelka (586) over John Leggett (429).
- Ward 4: Dorothea “Dot” Hooper (465) bested Peter Lester (326).
- Ward 5: Councilor Catherine Cheney (463) was reelected over Gary Green (272).
