Portsmouth: Ferrini keeps mayor's seat

PORTSMOUTH – Mayor Thomas Ferrini (2,893 votes) held onto his seat Tuesday by coming out on top among the 14 contenders for city council.
Ferrini’s closest competitor was Nancy Clayburgh (2,057), who will become assistant mayor. Those elected to the other seven slots on the city council include: “Bob” Lister (1,996), “Jerry” Hejtmanek (1,927), Eric Spear (1,902), M. Christine Dwyer (1,884), Anthony “Tony” Coviello (1,868), Esther Kennedy (1,836) and Kenneth Smith (1,753).
Those defeated include: Laura Pantelakos (1,409), William St. Laurent (1,394), Ryan Baker (914), David Adams (901) and Jack Thorsen (846).
