WARNER — A Concord man died after losing control of a pickup truck and striking a guardrail on Interstate 89, New Hampshire State Police said Sunday.

Tyler Osgood, 30, was southbound near mile marker 17.2 when he hit the guardrail around 11:35 p.m. Saturday, causing the truck body and bed to separate and ejecting him from the cab, state police said in a release.

Osgood landed in the roadway and died at the scene, state police said.

I-89 was closed for about four hours while police investigated the scene and cleared away debris from the crash. Traffic was diverted at Exit 9 and rerouted to Route 103 to Exit 7, police said.

Excess speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash, according to the release.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about it is asked to contact Trooper Eric Mercer at 603-223-2481 or e-mail at Eric.Mercer@dos.nh.gov.
