January 01. 2018 8:06AM

MILTON - An East Wakefield man died New Years Eve when he was ejected in a crash on Route 125, the driver was subsequently charged with felony DWI.

The wreck happened about 9:55 p.m. in the area of Exit 18 of Route 125, according to New Hampshire State Police Troop A.

A Mitsubishi Endeavor driven by Dianne Jenner, 44, of East Wakefield was found about 50 feet off of the north side of the highway. She sustained minor injuries and was taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Donald Thomas, 58, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, said state police.

"Based upon the initial on-scene investigation, it appears that the Mitsubishi was traveling northbound on Route 125 when it lost control, left the roadway and rolled over," state police said. "The operator, Dianne Jenner, was eventually arrested at the hospital and charged with felony aggravated driving while under the influence."

While it appears alcohol was a factor in this crash, state police said all aspects remain under investigation.

Route 125 was closed for about 4 hours. The New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene, which was assisted by Troop A, Milton Police Department, Milton Fire and Rescue Department, and the Office of the State Medical Examiner.
