Richmond man killed in head-on Peterborough crash

PETERBOROUGH – A Richmond man was killed in a head-on collision Friday morning on Route 202.

Michael LeBlanc, 35, was driving a 2000 Honda sedan north on Route 202 when he crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed headlong into a 2016 Honda SUV driven by Edward Wright, 67, of Peterborough, according to a Friday press release from Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard.

LeBlanc was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wright and his passenger, Jean Wright, were taken to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough to be evaluated.

Police responded to the scene about 8:15 a.m. Friday. The accident happened in the area of Long Hill Road near Performance Health & Fitness. Route 202/Jaffrey Road was closed until about 11:30 a.m.
