NASHUA — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a blue Dodge Durango involved in a possible attempted kidnapping Tuesday.

Officers responded at 1 p.m. to the area of Ash and West Hollis streets for a report involving an SUV.

Police officials later confirmed that a teenage girl told officers the driver of the SUV had forcibly placed her in his car and when he went around to the driver’s side, the girl managed to safely get away.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a Hispanic man in his early 30s with green eyes and a goatee.

He was wearing a blue hat, black shirt, black pants and black shoes, officials said. The SUV is a 2003-2010 model; the license plate is not known.

Police released images of the targeted car and asked anyone with information to contact the Special Investigations Unit at 594-3500 or to anonymously call the Nashua Crime Line at 589-1665.
