Police: Overnight shooting in Manchester driveway appears accidental

MANCHESTER — A 33-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound early Friday morning in the driveway of a Taylor Street home, which police said appears to be accidental.
The shooting took place about 2 a.m. on the 100 block of Taylor Street; police did not provide a specific address. When officers arrived, they saw a 34-year-old man giving aid to the shooting victim.
Police said the wound was to the victim’s leg and he was transported to Elliot Hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting is under investigation, police said.
