Days of searching haven't turned up a New Jersey man missing for more than a week, but his abandoned camp has been locate in a remote area of the White Mountains.

Gregory Auriemma, 63, of Brick, N.J., was last seen in North Conway and is believed to have been camping in the area of Mizpah Spring Hut in Bean's Grant about June 28th, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.

"Further information was obtained regarding and abandon camp site near the Dry River Trail in Cutts Grant," Fish and Game said in a statement Sunday. "A conservation officer search and rescue team confirmed today the abandon camp site was Auriemma's."

Conservation officers have been interviewing hikers in the area in hopes someone might have seen something that might lead searchers to Auriemma. A ground team and New Hampshire National Guard Blackhawk helicopter searched the area of the Dry River drainage to no avail, according to Fish and Game.

"The Dry River area is a remote portion of the White Mountains that takes searchers approximately a 4-hour hike to access the area to begin searching," Fish and Game said.

Anyone who has been in the area that might have seen Auriemma is asked to call Fish and Game at 271-3361.
