Washington man seriously hurt in ATV crash

WASHINGTON — A Washington man suffered injuries that were serious but not life-threatening Friday after crashing his all-terrain vehicle near his residence, according to Fish and Game officials.

Gerald Lane, 24, was riding alone on Valley Road late Friday afternoon when he lost control and crashed his ATV.

Lane was not wearing a helmet, officials said.

Washington police, fire and ambulance assisted Fish and Game in the response.

Lane was brought to Concord Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
