Manchester police looking into Nashua traffic stop

September 12. 2017 12:32AM

NASHUA — Manchester police acknowledged Monday that they are handling an investigation that went public Sunday with a traffic stop on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua.

The traffic stop was on the southbound side of the highway and involved New Hampshire State Police and Nashua police. A witness at the scene captured images of a white Mercedes-Benz sedan beside the highway with its trunk popped open.

Two different people were surrounded by police but were not handcuffed.

Manchester police spokesman Lt. Brian O’Keefe termed the investigation open and active, but said he could say little else.

“Our agency reports all major incidents but we are cautious to release premature information until we are certain all facts and circumstances are substantiated,” O’Keefe said.
