Rochester crash sends both drivers to hospital

ROCHESTER — Two people were taken to the hospital Monday evening after their vehicles collided on Gonic Road.

Police said a southbound Toyota Corolla driven by Tanya Gouin, 32, of Springvale, Maine, slowed to make a turn and was struck by a Ford Escort also traveling south about 4:45 p.m.

Gouin was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, as was the driver of the Ford Escort, Samantha Wade, 23, of Barnstead.

Police described the injuries as non-life-threatening.
