Updated, 10:45 p.m. What looked like a blowout at the beginning of the third frame quickly became a nail-biter, as Boston University registered two third-period goals, but Boston College managed to hold on for its second Beanpot title in three years, defeating the defending national champions 4-3.

Updated, 10:21 p.m. The Manchester Monarchs dropped to second place in the Atlantic Division for the first time since Oct. 18 as they fell 3-1 to the Adirondack Phantoms at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Friday night.


The Monarchs travel to Adirondack and Bridgeport this weekeend.

Updated, 5:56 p.m. Right wing Mark Mancari picked up five assists as the Manchester Monarchs fell to the Portland Pirates, 6-1, at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Tuesday afternoon.


Jonathan Bernier recorded his second consecutive shutout and the Manchester Monarchs defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack, 2-0, in American Hockey League action in Connecticut last night.


Updated, 10:16 p.m. Jonathan Bernier made 34 saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season as the Manchester Monarchs to a 2-0 win at Providence on Friday night.



Updated, 10:41 p.m. Portland's Mark Mancari beat Monarchs goalie Jonathan Bernier with the game-winner and the Pirates grabbed a 3-2 win over Manchester in Portland, Maine, on Tuesday night.
