Pinkerton grad completes Navy basic training

Fireman Apprentice Cameron Leborgne, son of Brian and Channon Leborgne of Hooksett, completed U.S. Navy basic training in the fall at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, North Chicago, Ill.

During the eight-week program, he completed classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. Fitness also was emphasized.

Leborgne, a 2018 graduate of Pinkerton High School in Derry, served as section leader during the training.

He is completing six months of “A” school in Great Lakes, Ill., after which he will be assigned orders.

Bedford woman finishes Air Force basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Nicole J. Petrut graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

She completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Petrut, the daughter of Keith and Christina Saunders of Bedford, is a 2018 graduate of Bedford High School.
