Newport seeks an experienced Business Administrator Newport School District is a single district SAU servingapproximately 1000 student from the town of Newport and through long term tuition agreements, students from the towns of Goshen and Croydon. Newport School Districts employs 250 staff, operating an elementary school (prek-5) and a middle high school (6-12) with an attached comprehensive career center. Newport has its own transportation staff. The mission of the Newport School District is to inspire, prepare and challenge ALL students with a relevant, rigorous curriculum, driven by outstanding instructional leaders in partnership with our families, businesses, and community, consistent with our core values. The Business Administrator will Organize, manage, and direct the department of Business Services. Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage the finance, budgeting, auditing, and financial planning requirements of the District. Supervise staff from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,Finance, Payroll and Operations. Ensure proper use of all grants and reporting. 3-5 years' experience in public school or municipal finance. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Master's Degree preferred. Ability to be certified as a Business Administrator as defined by NH ED506.03; Experience using the Infinite Visions software provided by Tyler Technologies, Inc. Knowledge of Local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements, including GASB and GAAP. Salary/Benefits commensurate based on experience, start datenegotiable.
