Job Location: Laconia, NH. Accommodate resort patrons by registering & assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting & receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms & guests' accounts, making & confirming reservations, & presenting statements to & collecting payments from departing guests. Contact housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated & are ready for cleaning & maintenance staff when guests report problems. Answer telephone calls & guests inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, & travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment. Must be 18 years of age. All staff must work weekends. Employer will offer a min. of 35hrs per wk. Open 7-days (holidays included). Shifts: 7am-pm; 11am-7pm; 3pm-11pm. Shift schedule start & end times & days off vary depending on work demand. OT as needed only. On the Job Training: Yes. Workers will be paid no less than $12.43 per hr; returning workers & workers w/more exp. may be paid higher wage rates ranging between $12.43 - $15 per hour. OT wage depends on salary & ranges between $18.65 - $22.50 per hr. Paid wkly. Will use single workweek as standard for computing wages due. Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck reqd by law & optional assisted employee housing. Optional local apartment housing w/shared rooms w/rental fee may be available. Cost of housing is $80 wkly, paid thru payroll deduction. Transportation & subsistence to the place of employment: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange & pay directly for transportation & subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical & reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of $12.26 per day during travel to a max. of $51 per day w/receipts.
