Oversees all aspects of schedule incl. daily activities, evening activities, trips, & special events. Manage a team of 3-4 people & report directly to Camp Director. May in some cases act as Asst Camp Director when Director is absent. Must communicate & work w/ groups participating (age & skill levels) & provide necessary instruction to campers & staff; visual & auditory ability to identify & respond to environmental & other hazards related to activity; physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid; must be able to assist campers in emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) & possess strength & endurance req'd to maintain constant supervision of campers. Physical requirements incl. endurance, such as standing, some bending, stooping, & stretching; eye-hand coordination & manual dexterity to manipulate program equip. & program activities; normal range of hearing & eyesight to record, prepare, & communicate appropriate camper activities/programs; willingness to live in camp setting & work irregular hours delivering program in facility available; operate w/ daily exposure to sun & heat & varying weather conditions. Requires: BS in sports/exercise science or related field; & 1-year exp. in program management &/or administration for summer camps; current certification in first aid & CPR. Overtime possible $21.09/hr. MAINTENANCE WORKERS: Assist in maintenance/repair of camp's buildings, grounds, equipment & facilities. Operate equipment such as mower, tractor, chain saws, etc., in safe/efficient manner. Paint buildings, benches, gates, railings, etc. Perform janitorial/general maintenance/landscaping duties, incl. sweep, scrub, wax floors, wash windows/screens, put up/ take down screens & storm windows - repair same; shovel snow; dispose of trash; manage recycling; cut grass, weed whack, leaf blowing, maintain walkways, mulching, planting. Must lift & carry 50 pounds; understand & implement safety regulations/ procedures; walk, stand, bend & stretch; visual/auditory ability to identify/respond to environmental & other hazards related to camp operation; physical ability to respond to situations requiring first aid; assist campers in emergency (fire, evacuation, illness or injury). Must lift & carry 50 pounds; possess visual/auditory ability to identify & respond to environmental & other hazards of site & facilities & camper & staff behavior; physical ability to operate kitchen equipment according to safe, recommended methods; physical mobility & endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time (60 mins or more); ability to provide first aid & assist in emergency; determine cleanliness of dishes, food surfaces, kitchen area; & ability to assess condition of food. Overtime possible $17.45/hr. DETAILS FOR ALL POSITIONS: Lodging available at on-site, employer-owned housing at no additional cost to worker. Employer does not provide any fringe benefits. Employer will provide transportation if any work-related travel is required. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4s of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment period. Employer will use single workweek as standard for computing wages due. Workers paid every 2 weeks by check. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law; no other deductions taken. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, incl. those mandated by gov't, incurred by H-2B worker (but not passport expenses or other charges primarily for benefit of worker). If worker completes 50% of work contract period, employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsistence from place of recruitment to place of work. Upon completion of work contract or where worker dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence back home or to place worker original departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/ another employer &/or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to most economical & reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.26/day during travel to a maximum of $51.00/day w/ receipts.
