A Nashua pizzeria is closed following a Monday night fire.
Around 10 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Nashua Fire Department, someone called 911 to report a fire in the Kinsley House of Pizza, near Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua.
When firefighters arrived, they could see smoke and fire from the one-story building.
The restaurant did not have smoke detectors or sprinklers, according to the Nashua Fire Department.
According to the fire department, firefighters were able to put out the fire in the restaurant quickly. But the fire burned through the back wall of the restaurant and burned into the wall of a neighboring apartment.
Five people were displaced from their homes because of the fire, according to the Nashua Fire Department, but no one was hurt.
On social media, Kinsley House of Pizza said the fire forced the restaurant to close at least temporarily.
“We will unfortunately be closed until further notice,” a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page reads. “Thank you for all the support.”
Fire officials are still investigating the fire’s cause.
