SEABROOK — Merrimack Valley Credit Union is hosting their first “Wags and Woofles” pet adoption event in Seabrook this Sunday.
John Howard, president and CEO of the credit union, said in a statement that the pet adoption event reflects their desire to make a lasting, positive impact on the community.
“And nothing is better than helping a family find a pet to love. Animals are a part of our community too, and bring so much joy to others. We hope that we can help introduce dozens of animals to their forever homes through this event,” Howard said.
The credit union is partnering with One Tail at a Time in Haverhill, Mass., and MSCPA at Nevins Farm in Methuen, Mass., to introduce Seacoast residents to dogs and other small animals looking for a home.
All attendees will be treated to a “Woofle” ice cream cone.
The public adoption event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Seacoast Commons Plaza, located at 700 Lafayette Road. People do not need to be credit union members to adopt an animal.
