DHMC seeks relief from Upper Valley housing crunch

The proposed housing development would put residents within walking distance of the hospital, shopping at the Centerra Business Park and public transit stops.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center wants a partner to develop a 300- to 400-unit affordable housing complex near the campus as the hospital continues to struggle retaining employees.

“We have a challenge in recruiting because of the absence of affordable housing,” said Thomas Goins, vice president of facilities management.
