Comcast adds Amazon’s Prime Video to X1

PHILADELPHIA — Comcast and Amazon announced Wednesday that Prime Video service will launch over the next week on Comcast’s Xfinity X1, giving Comcast customers access to the service through the X1 guide programming functions for Xfinity’s live, on-demand and web programming.

Comcast previously added Netflix and YouTube to the Xfinity platform. Prime Video, like Netflix, is a streaming service that requires a subscription. Like Netflix, Prime Video features original programming produced for the service, including the series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Homecoming” and “Catastrophe.” Xfinity customers can use the X1’s voice remote to access the content.

Charter launches Spectrum Internet Gig

PORTLAND, Maine — Charter Communications Inc. announced the launch Wednesday of Spectrum Internet Gig for residential customers and Spectrum Business Internet Gig for small and medium-sized business clients throughout the company’s New Hampshire service areas, featuring the deployment of DOCSIS 3.1 internet services delivering a 1 Gbps connection to the home or business.

Priced at $104.99 per month for new residential customers, Spectrum Internet Gig will be available throughout virtually all of Spectrum’s 41-state service area by the end of 2018. Wednesday’s launch includes Spectrum’s North County service area, which includes Berlin, Conway, Gorham, Plymouth, Littleton and surrounding communities, the Lakes Region, as well as the company’s Keene service area.

Irwin Marine partners with Barletta Pontoon

LACONIA — Irwin Marine, located in Laconia, Alton and Hudson, recently added Barletta Pontoon Boats to its lineup.

The Bristol, Ind.-based manufacturer, founded in 2017, has already won industry acclaim.

“We were impressed with their forward thinking, attention to detail and the motivation to produce the best pontoon boat for their customers,” Bill Irwin, vice president of sales and marketing, said in a news release.
