CONCORD — The American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire hired Ariana Schechter as its communications director, a new role for the ACLU affiliate. Previously, Schechter served as assistant deputy press secretary to New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and as press aide to former Lt. Gov. Robert J. Duffy. Most recently, she was the marketing and brand strategy manager at the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Pelletier opens SVN office in Bedford
BEDFORD — Larry Pelletier, a 30-year veteran of commercial real estate investing and asset management, recently opened a local office of the international franchise SVN and is headquartered at 3 Executive Park Drive in Bedford. The new office is the first in New Hampshire for SVN International Corp., a global network that offers access to all major markets and asset types.
Mandarin Oriental names Ng marketing director
BOSTON — The Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston appointed Kenneth Ng as director of marketing and commerce. Ng, who resides in Merrimack, N.H., joins Mandarin Oriental, Boston from InterContinental Boston, where he served as director of sales and marketing for a decade. He has 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with sales and marketing positions with Westin, Renaissance and Marriott hotel groups.
Merrimack County Savings Bank names Lorden president
CONCORD — The board of directors of Merrimack County Savings Bank appointed Linda Lorden as president of the mutually owned community bank, effective Nov. 1. Lorden will be the bank’s 11th president in 151 years. She replaces Philip Emma, who was recently promoted to chief operating officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB). NHMB provides shared support services for its allied financial institutions, which include the Merrimack, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Savings Bank of Walpole and MillRiver Wealth Management. Lorden began her career as a teller at Concord Savings Bank in 1980. In 1998, she joined Bow Mills Bank and Trust. She was named senior vice president, senior retail banking officer when the Merrimack County Savings Bank acquired Bow Mills Bank and Trust in 2007.
Raycraft joins Bar Harbor Bank
MANCHESTER — Kat Raycraft joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as assistant vice president, branch relationship manager of the Manchester office set to open on Dec. 10, 2018 at 1000 Elm Street. Raycraft has more than 20 years of banking experience, having worked at TD Bank for most of this time in various positions of increased responsibility; most recently as the branch manager for their Bay Street store.
Hunt Community appoints Zabierek as executive director
NOVEMBER — Gary Zabierek was appointed executive director at Hunt Community, a Silverstone Living nonprofit Life Plan Community located in downtown Nashua. Zabierek succeeds Susan Meuse, who recently retired. Zabierek most recently was CEO/president at Birch Hill Terrace, in Manchester, where he served for 15 years. Zabierek has been actively involved as a director for the Maine/New Hampshire chapter of Leading Age, also serving as the chairman of its Education Committee.
Carson joins Cheshire Medical Center
KEENE — Kate Carson, an advanced practice registered nurse, joined Cheshire Medical Center as a hospitalist. She will oversee patient care from admission to discharge, working collaboratively with each patient’s primary care physician. Carson started with Cheshire Medical in 2016 as a staff nurse in the Women and Children’s Health Unit, then in 2017 moved onto a position as a clinical nurse educator.
Peterson joins Hinckley Allen
MANCHESTER — Lindsey K. Peterson joined Hinckley Allen as an associate in the construction and public contracts group in the law firm’s Manchester office, where her focus will be on litigation. She previously worked for Boyle Shaughnessy Law PC. She also previously served as an associate at McLeod Fraser & Cone LLC and also has experience working as a law clerk.
