The rush is over, the backups remain

The rush to mail Christmas cards and packages is over, based on the lack of crowds Wednesday at the Manchester Post Office. But big backups remain in the mail stream.

On Dec. 8, Karen Creegan of Merrimack mailed a package to Reading, Mass.

This week it was still sitting in the U.S. Postal Service’s Nashua Distribution Center, according to tracking data.
