Dahlia Rizk of Buckle Me Baby Coats

Dahlia Rizk of Buckle Me Baby Coats won second place and $20,000 in the national Pitch to Win Challenge in October 2019.

A Windham woman who competed in a national Pitch to Win Challenge was awarded second place — and $20,000 — for her Buckle Me Baby Coats business.

Dahlia Rizk founded Buckle Me Baby Coats in 2017, and has since manufactured up to 30,000 car-seat friendly coats for children.

“I am almost sold out,” Rizk told the Union Leader last month, when she learned she was one of seven finalists in the competition

Rizk said the second-place winnings will allow her to extend her selling period by designing solutions for the spring and summer months, according to a news release.

Buckle Me Baby Coats are available on her company website, Amazon, Buy Buy Baby stores and Zulily.

The contest was conducted by Nationwide and BlueVine and attracted 3,300 entries. The top winner received $100,000 at the Ohio competition.
