CONCORD — A Lawrence, Mass. man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.

Nathanael Peguero, 27, of Lawrence, Mass., pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday, U.S. Attorney Scott W. Murray announced.

In November and December of 2016, an undercover officer with the Drug Enforcement Agency arranged to buy fentanyl from Peguero. The officer made five undercover purchases of fentanyl from Peguero and members of Peguero’s drug trafficking organization, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Hampton police also participated in the investigation. 

Peguero will be sentenced Jan. 14, 2020.
