CLAREMONT — A Mulberry Street man is facing two felony charges after police say he shared nude photos and a sexually explicit video of an ex-girlfriend.

Chad Boardman, 42, of 122 Mulberry St., is free on personal recognizance bail after he was charged with two counts of dissemination of private sexual images in the Sullivan Superior Court in Newport.

The alleged victim in the case, a 36-year-old woman, went to police in January after her landlord was sent the images and video by Boardman, according to the police report on file.

The woman told police she dated Boardman for a few months in 2017, and at one point he became aggressive and threatened her.

During the fight he stole her cellphone, she told police.

The woman said she never got that phone back. She told police she believes Boardman accessed her private images by using the stolen phone.

The woman told police that she and Boardman eventually agreed to have a cordial relationship since they have mutual friends, including the man who allowed her and her fiancé to stay with him temporarily.

The woman and Boardman had a dispute during a social gathering and Boardman reached out to the landlord over Facebook, police said.

He then sent the images and video through Facebook’s private messaging program.

Police subsequently executed a search warrant for Boardman’s phone and he was arrested.
