RANDOLPH — A Washington man was stopped on Route 2 after he was clocked driving 111 miles per hour, according to New Hampshire State Police.
About 1:40 p.m., Dingming Zhou, 25, of Shoreline, Wash., was driving an orange Ford Mustang on Route 2 when he was spotted by Trooper Neil Chapdelaine, who was monitoring traffic. Zhou's car was allegedly traveling at 111 miles per hour in the 55-mph zone.
No one else was in Zhou's car, state police said in a news release. However, police said, traffic in the area was heavy because of tourists viewing the foliage and with visitors to the nearby memorial for seven motorcyclists killed in a crash in June.
Zho, who was charged with reckless driving, was released with an appearance set for Dec. 17 in 1st Circuit Court - District Division - Berlin.
