DANVILLE — Police are investigating after a man was allegedly stabbed multiple times during a domestic disturbance with his son Tuesday night.
Police Chief Wade Parsons said the man was stabbed in the arm, hand, and back of the head, but the wounds were superficial and not believed to be life-threatening.
The man, whose name was not released, was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
Parsons said police responded to a residence on Back Road just after 10 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from the home reporting a domestic disturbance.
He said the father was stabbed with what appeared to be a jackknife.
He said the son received minor injuries in the altercation.
No charges were filed as of Wednesday afternoon, but Parsons said the incident remains under investigation.
Danville police, fire and rescue personnel were assisted at the scene by police from Fremont, Kingston and Sandown.
