Franklin police seek this man in connection with fire

Franklin police officials released this photo of a man they believe was connected to a fire that destroyed a local mobile home late Monday night.

FRANKLIN — Franklin police officials released the image of a man they consider a person of interest regarding the fire that destroyed a mobile home in the city Monday night, officials said.

Video cameras inside and outside the home at 11 Rose Lane near Range Road captured images of the man taken just before the fire broke out after 10:30 p.m., officials said.

“Right now we are trying to identify him so we are putting his picture out on social media as well as the news services and our intelligence agencies so we can identify him as quickly as possible,” Franklin Police Chief David Goldstein said in a statement.

The homeowner’s family reportedly turned over its video to local police, officials said.

No one was inside the two-bedroom, one-bath home at the time of the fire that destroyed it. There were no injuries reported.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Franklin police at 934-2535.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials said.
