FREMONT — Police are investigating after a man suffered a gunshot wound Sunday night.
According to police, emergency personnel responded at 6:10 p.m. after receiving a report of a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Police said they determined that the wound was self-inflicted, but the circumstances are being investigated to determine the victim’s intent.
The man was transported by Raymond Ambulance and flown by medical helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Police did not release additional information about the victim pending notification of family. His condition was not known Monday night.
Police said they determined that there was no concern for the public.
Fremont police were assisted by the Fremont Fire and Rescue as well as police from Brentwood and Kingston.
