MANCHESTER — Police were investigating a report of shots fired Thursday night near the intersection of Pennacook and Chestnut streets.

According to Manchester police, officers responded to the area of Pennacook and Chestnut streets around 7:07 p.m. Thursday night after receiving 911 calls reporting gunshots were heard.

Upon arrival police found spent shell casings near a Pennacook Street residence. Detectives were at the scene around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police said no injuries were reported. Police said they believe this is an isolated incident, but no further information was available Thursday night.
