JAFFREY — A Main Street man is free on personal recognizance bail after he was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Todd White, 47, is charged with possession of child abuse images following a months-long investigation, according to a statement released by the Jaffrey Police Department.

White was arrested last week after investigators found images and video files stored on his electronic devices depicting the sexual abuse of children, according to police.

Investigators with the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Jaffrey Police, the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Department, first searched White’s 24 Main St. apartment last month, taking several electronic devices as part of a search warrant.

Those devices were turned over to the forensic laboratory at the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office for the analysis that turned up the sex abuse images and movie files, according to police.

White is due in the Cheshire County Superior Court next week for an arraignment on the charges.
