NASHUA — A driver standing outside his disabled vehicle was struck and killed by a drunk driver Saturday night on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, according to police.
Troop B of the New Hampshire State Police responded about 11:45 p.m. to a report of a crash near mile marker .6 on the north side of the highway.
Osman Konda, 53, of Nashua was outside his disabled vehicle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Sarah E. Shaw, 36, also of Nashua. Konda died at the scene, state police said.
Shaw was subsequently arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
The crash closed the right travel lanes of the turnpike for about 4 hours while state police investigated and first responders cleared the wreckage.
