Seven Days robbery

Police released this image from video surveillance at Seven Days Market in Manchester asking for the public's help identifying the man, who police said was considered a suspect in an armed robbery Monday.

MANCHESTER -- Police were searching for a man who robbed a downtown convenience store at knifepoint Monday, police said.

A clerk at Seven Days Market, 360 Union St., told police that a man wielding an 8- to 10-inch knife demanded cash from the register around 12:25 p.m. Monday, police said in a release.

The clerk, who was not hurt, handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes to the man, who fled on foot, police said.

She told police that she believed the man had been in the store Sunday night and provided a still photo from the store’s video surveillance.

Police released the photo Monday, asking for anyone who recognized the man to call (603) 668-8711.
