MANCHESTER — A city woman who was found passed out in a car with its engine running early Monday was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence, police said.
Dawn Parker, 42, was slumped over the steering wheel when police found her about 1:45 a.m. in the area of 290 Dubuque St., police said in a news release. Officers said they were initially unable to wake Parker and a teenager who was lying flat across the back seat, according to the news release.
Both came to when officers reached inside the car, which had come to a stop against a shed, to put it in park, police said.
Parker, who was slurring her speech and having difficulty keeping her eyes open, failed a roadside sobriety test, police said. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or liquor and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the news release.
Parker was scheduled to appear in Manchester Circuit Court on Monday.
