MERRIMACK — A Merrimack man is facing charges of resisting arrest stemming from a fight early Saturday at the Jade Dragon restaurant.
Merrimack police responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Jade Dragon Restaurant and Lounge in The Commons Shopping Plaza, 515 Daniel Webster Highway, around 12:37 a.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, police reported finding the two men involved attempting to leave the restaurant. According to police, the men were acting belligerent as officers attempted to detain them until completing their investigation.
According to police, as officers attempted to detain a man identified as James Davies, 57, of Merrimack he pulled his arm away and refused to comply. After a short struggle with Davies, officers were able to take him into custody.
Davies was transported to Merrimack police headquarters, where he was booked on two counts of resisting arrest. He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear before the 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack Division, on Dec. 13 for arraignment.
