Merrimack woman charged with domestic violence


MERRIMACK — A woman is facing eight counts of domestic violence after a disturbance in a home early Sunday, police said.

Kelly Parsons, 44, was arrested by officers responding to a domestic disturbance call shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, police said in a release.

Parsons, who dispatchers said was intoxicated and retreated to a bedroom, was accused of striking a relative five times on the back of the head and grabbing and shoving another family member, according to the release.

Parsons was charged with eight counts of domestic violence and released on personal recognizance bail, police said. She is scheduled to appear in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack Division, on Tuesday, police said.
