MANCHESTER — The parents of a toddler who died during the summer after ingesting fentanyl and cocaine have been charged with negligent homicide and manslaughter.
In indictments handed up Thursday, the Hillsborough County Attorney alleged that Joshua Garvey, 31, and Christen Gelinas, 33, both of Manchester, recklessly and negligently made the drugs accessible to their 20-month-old son, referred to as T.G.
Garvey and Gelinas had previously been charged with drug trafficking following T.G.’s death.
On May 25, Gelinas discovered Garvey sleeping next to T.G., whose head was planted into a couch cushion, according to court records.
T.G. was taken to Catholic Medical Center where emergency room staff attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at 4:12 p.m.
In a subsequent search of the apartment, police allegedly found heroin, crack cocaine, other drugs, and $12,000 in cash.
