LACONIA — The Attorney General’s office has identified the man found dead in Laconia on Friday as 57-year-old Wilfred Guzman Sr.
Following an autopsy, Dr. Christine James of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Guzman’s death a homicide, caused by blunt and sharp force injury to the head, according to a statement from the Attorney General’s office.
The State Police Major Crimes unit and Laconia police were at 57 Blueberry Lane at the Perley Townhouses complex Friday afternoon. The Attorney General’s office said Guzman was found dead inside his home.
Parents met their children as they stepped off the school bus, avoiding the police activity and yellow crime-scene tape.
People on Blueberry Lane said they were instructed not to speak with reporters.
The investigation into Guzman’s death remains ongoing and anyone with information about it is asked to call state police Sgt. Matthew Amatucci at 223-4381.
