Rochester robber

Police are asking for help identifying this man, who robbed George & Ed's General Store on Dec. 26.

ROCHESTER – Police have identified a man they believe robbed George & Ed’s General Store at gunpoint.

Police responded to the store on North Main Street about 6 p.m. on Dec. 26 and obtained surveillance video of the armed robbery. They now say 30-year-old Anthony Driscoll was the man caught on tape pointing what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol at the store clerk before reaching over the counter and taking money from the register.

Driscoll’s last known address is in Fremont, but his whereabouts are unknown. Police officials say he could be in southern New Hampshire or northern Massachusetts.

Driscoll should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police, and people should not approach him.
