NASHUA — A convicted sex offender is facing multiple felonies for allegedly failing to register with city police over the past two years.
Patrick Potter, 29, no fixed address, was charged with five counts of duty to report — second offense, a Class A felony, police said. He was previously convicted of sexual assault in Hillsborough County Superior Court-Southern District, police said.
“Based on that conviction, Potter is required to register semi-annually as a Tier I sex offender,” police said.
Potter has already been convicted once of a Class B felony for failing to register as a sex offender.
Potter was taken into custody about 3:41 p.m. Thursday, and refusing bail was held pending arraignment.
A Class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, as well as fines.
