LYNDON, Vt. — Vermont State Police arrested a boarding school teacher from Bethlehem, N.H., on Tuesday, charging her with sexual exploitation and disseminating indecent material to a student who is a minor, officials said.
Anitra Lahiri, 44, will be arraigned on both charges in Caledonia County Superior Court on Jan. 28.
Vermont State Police said Lahiri was a teacher at Lyndon Institute, a private boarding school and day high school in Lyndon.
Lahiri is not currently listed as an employee of the school on the school’s website.
This investigation was jointly performed by Vermont State Police and the Vermont Department for Children and Families, officials said.
In a news release, Vermont State Police said the alleged relationship between the teacher and student took place during the end of the last school year.
