Two Wakefield residents are in jail after being arrested for allegedly selling methamphetamine, authorities said.
James Brooks, 37, and Katelyn Lake, 26, were arrested on Wednesday after a search warrant led to the seizure of drugs and materials used to distribute drugs, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s office.
Both have prior drug convictions in Carroll County Superior Court, police said.
After arraignment Wednesday in the same superior court, Brooks and Lake were held on preventative detection.
Authorities said the arrests came after a months-long investigation by the Attorney General’s Drug Task Force. State police and Wakefield police officers assisted in the arrests.
