PLAISTOW -- Voters in the Timberlane Regional School District approved the district’s proposed $71,681,333 school operating budget and several other spending items, including a new three-year teachers’ contract.

The budget passed by a vote of 2,174 yes to 1,796 no.

The teachers’ contract, which will cost $2,620,207 over the three years to cover increases in salaries and benefits, was OK’d (2,488 yes, 1,472 no) along with a $531,000 outer wall repair project at the Performing Arts Center (2,312 yes, 1,656 no).

The district serves the towns of Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow and Sandown.
