MANCHESTER — Manchester High School West is looking for people who can share their expertise with students at the school’s annual Career Day on March 14.

The event at 9 Notre Dame Ave. begins at 7:15 am. and runs until 3 p.m.

For participants who can only devote a half-day, the first session runs from from 7:15 to 11:30 a.m., and the second session runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Class periods run 50 minutes.

“Our Career Day goal is to allow students to envision the possibilities of employment available to them and to enrich students on multiple levels as well as offer the opportunity to start studying at an earlier age in a desired profession,” said Debbie Stratton, the lead organizer of the event. “This Career Day will give them more opportunities to see their potential interests and allow those to grow throughout their school career.”

Participants will be paired with a professional in their subject matter. They will then shadow their schedule and classes, which can vary from teacher to teacher.

Those who commit to a full day will have five classes, during which they will present information and exercises about their profession.

Refreshments, including bagels before the morning session, and lunch, will be provided.
