Kids have fun at the Currier with visiting artist Owen Lowery

Visiting artist Owen Lowery, left, has been spending time this winter at the Currier Museum of Art and is on hand through most of March. He is working with students of varying ages during the school vacation week this week doing an interactive multimedia self -portrait project, among other things. Here he is interviewing Zoey Asiao, 12, of Hollis, for the project, on Wednesday. The audio of the interviews will be able to be heard when people touch the self portraits the students make that will hang on the walls during an exhibit for parents on Thursday.

Evelyn Blatsos, 12, of Bedford, is creating a “horror piece,” partly out of papier mache at the Currier Gallery of Art’s school vacation week program overseen by Owen Lowery. He has been spending time this winter at the Currier and is on hand through most of March. He is working with students of varying ages during the school vacation week this week doing an interactive multimedia self-portrait project, among other things. He is interviewing the students and recording them. The audio of the interviews will be able to be heard when people touch the self portraits the students make that will hang on the walls during an exhibit for parents on Thursday. Students are also making other fun projects during the art camp sessions.
